SE ASIA - DAY10 - SIHANOUKVILLE to PHNOM PENH

Today, I have planned to head towards the capitol city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh.
Before that, I will ride up the famous Bokor hill to look at the nice scenery and ruined buildings there. Set-off at about 5.50am before the sunrise and it was an amazing sight seeing the sun rising as I rode.

Passed through a big Wat with many Buddhist statues.

And of course, stop for petrol and doing stretching exercise.

Their 95 petrol cost USD1/litre (SGD1.34), still much cheaper than SG.

This is only up till half of the climb to Bokor Hill, and I feel strong cross winds as I continue to climb up.

Saw the giant Buddhist statue, the guard just doesn't allow me to ride all the way up to take a closer picture.

The view up here was great, temperature dropped to about 20 Degree Celsius with strong wind.

Then, there is a casino out of nowhere. Reminds me of Genting style resort hotel on a mountain top.

Passed by the old church.

and the abandon hotel. It appears there are construction work  going on, they are trying to restore this old hotel building.

More old french colonial abandon buildings before I turn around and head to Phnom Penh.
Reached the hotel at about noon time. Lux Riverside Hotel with free underground parking at SGD61/night.

Some street views from Phnom Penh.
The great Mekong River running through Phnom Penh.

Old buildings along the streets.

The Wat Ounalom Monastery

A statue at the park.

With the day ended up with nice food and Ankor draft @ USD0.50/glass or USD2/jug.
