SE ASIA - Day 13 - PHNOM PENH - SIEM REAP

Time to move again, this time travelling 315km to Siem Reap, home of Ankor Wat. The road to Siem Reap was well laid and new, not much potholes spotted. Cruised at average 80-90km/hr , reached there at about 11am.

Stayed at Anusa, very nice and relatively new hotel. The rooms are big and comes with a lovely balcony at USD42/night.It even comes with breakfast.

Took a Tuk Tuk to the Siem Reap market and had Khmer curry there. Expensive restaurant,  USD5 for this.

And then I went to the ticket office and buy this ticket. Tickets ain't cheap. There are options of buying a 3 day pass or even 7 day pass. Unless you are really into ruins, I suggest getting 1 day first.
They will take a picture of you and print it onto the ticket.

Then passed by some open air place where there is a DJ blasting trance music and speaks Khmer. It is some kind of promotional event for the Barley Black Stout.
As a Stout lover, definitely something I want to try. There was only like 1 table occupied, so I sat down and ordered the Barley Black.

It tasted as rich flavoured as Guinness draft, with a sour after taste, just like the Guinness foreign extra. Had two of this at USD1.25 each before heading back to hotel for an early night in preparation for tomorrow's Ankor Wat sunrise experience.
