Scooting around in Guam
Guam(USA) 30 Aug 2014 - 01 Sep 2014
Well, this visit to Guam was really to attend a friend's wedding, otherwise, I would not have even thought of venturing there.
Guam is a small island and something that is very different from the rest of Asian beach resorts. It's about 80% the size of Singapore. It's a popular destination for Japanese who goes there for holiday or getting married due to the great number of beautiful churches for conducting wedding ceremony.
The inconvenience is that there are no direct flight from Singapore, so you will need to either transit from Japan or other countries that have connecting flight.
Ok, the motorcycle part. This is a 50cc scooter.
You just need a car driving licence to be allowed to rent this. The rental cost is not expensive, which explains why I cannot recall how much. : )
Maximum speed you can achieve is about 40km/hr. It's a 50cc, what do you expect right ?
It's fun though, and a convenient way of moving around in Guam visiting different places.
Something worth trying if you happens to plan going there for a non Asian beach resort while you are in Japan.
